Gung Hay Fat Choy!
Today, the grade 1's in room 14 & 16 celebrated Chinese New Year! We went on a parade dressed in red, carrying lanterns and dragons - all symbols of good luck. We even brought a broom to sweep the bad luck out from last year! Now, each classroom can welcome in good luck. A few students even played musical instruments. We had a lot of fun! Gung Hay Fat Choy!

The Three Billy Goats Gruff
Today we had a group of students perform a reader's theatre play, "The Three Billy Goats Gruff." They did a fabulous job! All of the performers worked hard on using fluency and expression. After the play, we were sure to shower them in compliments, as well as, give them a few "helpful hints" so that they can set goals for their next performance. Well done!

Dance-a-thon here we come!
The kindergarten's and grade 1 students have been working hard all week on their dance for the dance-a-thon. On Thursday and Friday this week, we met as a large group, and put the "puzzle pieces" of our dance together. We are working hard because we want to knock your socks off!
