Included in our criteria for our snow forts was the appearance of mini figures-one inside the fort and one outside the fort. We discussed the shapes that can be used to create the body. Because we know so much about how to dress in winter, we were able to create winter clothing for our figures. We also discussed how you need to think about making the mini figures limbs propotionate to the body, as well as, the overall size of the figure has to match the size of the fort. We had a lot of fun! We stretched our creativity to the max! We are so excited to share them with you!
Today we began designing and building snow forts. Together as a class we came up with criteria for our forts. We said that our forts need to have: a strong shape (square, circle, oval, semi-circle), be 3-4 rows tall, have top row shields, a supply of snowballs for a snowball fight, and 2 mini figures. The kids were very excited! Take a look at our designs so far....
