Today we had to "show what we know" about problem solving. We know that we always read a problem 3 times:
1) We read the problem to find out what it is about.
2) We read it again to look for important information.
3) We read it a third time to think about: what is the problem asking me to find out?
We also know how important it is to show our thinking and a clear and organized way. We add a sentence at the end that says what our answer is. We have explored the strategies: draw a picture, act it out, make a table, and to use an array.... and there is more learning to come!
